AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout August Lindvall has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 12, 2019.

Lindvall, a senior from Bastad, Sweden, guided the Pacers to a fifth-place finish in the South/Southeast Super Regional – and a spot at the NCAA National Championships.

Lindvall opened the three-round tournament with a three-under par, 69. After a second-round 76, he fired a one-over par, 73, on the final day of competition.

Lindvall finished two-over par for the event for his seventh-place effort. His effort guided the Pacers from eighth to fifth on the final day of competition.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
