AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout
Conner Durden has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 28, 2019.
Durden, a senior from Jacksonville, Fla., guided USC Aiken to a 3-2 week. He had an outstanding week at the plate, shattering one school record while tying a PBC mark.
In the 18-6 win over Paine, Durden drove in a school-record 10 RBI. He went three-for-three with two triples and a homer. Durden also walked twice.
In the series-opening win over Flagler, Durden launched a solo homer. On Saturday, he blasted a grand slam and drove in five RBI. He rattled off another RBI in the series-finale victory, giving him 17 RBI on the week.
Durden went seven-for-17 at the plate with five extra-base hits and five runs scored with batting .412.
