AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women’s soccer standout Willa Olson has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21, 2018.

The sophomore guided the Pacers to their first PBC win of the season.

The 5-4 forward from Champaign, Ill., scored the team’s lone goal against rival Lander in a mid-week contest.

At Georgia Southwestern on Saturday, Olson scored two goals and added an assist in the 7-0 blanking of the Hurricanes. She scored the game-winning goal, added the third goal of the night and assisted on the fourth score, which came via her sister, Gressa.

For the week, Olson accounted for seven points on three goals and an assist.

Willa Olson leads the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points on the year.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
