AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout
Doniel Dean has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 11, 2018.
The senior from Newnan, Ga., led the Pacers to a 2-0 week.
Dean averaged a team-best 19 points to go along with five rebounds per game and 4.5 assists per contest in the two victories. He drained 39.3 percent of his shots from the floor, including four-of-five from downtown.
In the season-opener against Tusculum, Dean posted 16 points and dished out a game-high eight assists to go along with five rebounds in 30 minutes of work. Against No. 3 Lincoln Memorial, he poured in a game-high 22 points, had five rebounds and added a pair of blocks in the 11-point victory.
