AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer standout
Willa Olson has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 28, 2018.
The sophomore guided the Pacers to a 1-0-1 week.
The 5-4 forward from Champaign, Ill., assisted on the team's first goal against Clayton State. Ten minutes later, Olson scored a goal, helping the Pacers record a 2-2 double-overtime tie.
On Senior Day against Georgia College, she scored a pair of second-half goals, including the game-winner, in the 5-4 comeback victory.
For the week, Olson scored three goals and had an assist for seven points. She ended the season as USC Aiken's leader in goals with nine and points with 21. Olson finished second on the team with three assists.
