AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout
Faison Brock has been named the
Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 6, 2019.
Brock, a junior from Raleigh, N.C., guided the Pacers to a victory over Columbus State in the team's lone game.
He poured in a career and game-high 29 points on 11-of-17 shooting, including a five-of-nine effort from behind the three-point line. Brock also added a game-best seven rebounds to go along with a pair of assists, one block and a steal.
Brock helped the Pacers record a school-record 17 made three-point field goals. His last three-point field goal pushed USC Aiken past the 100-point mark for the 19
th time since moving to Division II.
The 108 points scored by the Pacers marked the fifth most in the program's Division II history.
