AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's tennis standout Vicente Andrades has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 31, 2019.

Andrades, a sophomore from Santiago, Chile, guided the Pacers to a 1-1 week against top-10 opponents.

He went 4-0 on the week, winning both doubles contests at No. 2 while claiming a pair of victories at No. 4 singles.

In the win over No. 8 Lander, he teamed up with Tales Silva for a 6-3 win at doubles. Andrades posted a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles.

Against the No. 7 Saints of Flagler, he and Silva won a 6-2 match at No. 2 doubles. Andrades tallied a 7-6, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles.

His wins over Lander helped the Pacers defeat the Bearcats for the first time since 2009.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
