AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout Jackson Hannon has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 5, 2023.

Hannon, a senior from Lexington, S.C., guided the Pacers to a 3-1 week.

Hannon led the team with a .667 batting average. He accounted for 12 hits in 18 at bats. Hannon drove in a team-best 12 runs and smacked a team-high three doubles. He led the squad with 15 total bases, an .833 slugging percentage and three steals.

Hannon posted a .591 on-base percentage, garnered one walk and did not strike out. He was also perfect in the field with 10 putouts.

Hannon started the week with a three-for-four effort with two RBI at Southern Wesleyan. He then went four-for-five with three RBI in the series-opening victory at USC Beaufort. Hannon went two-for-four with a double and four RBI in Saturday's win over the Sand Sharks before finishing the week with three hits, including two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in the victory over USC Beaufort in the series finale.
