AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Leonardo Bono has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 26, 2023.

Bono, a senior from Rivera, Switzerland, guided the Pacers to the team championship at the Wexford Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon.

At the tournament, Bono recorded a second-place finish. He shot scores of 70-74-70 and finished two-under par, 214. Bono's effort marked his best finish of his career, besting his previous mark of third place at the Kiawah Island Invitational during the 2019-20 season.

Bono's stellar effort helped the team pick up its first title since the 7^th Annual UNG Fall Invitational during the 2021-22 season.

Bono is second on the team with a 73.5 stroke average.
