Morgan Hyde has been named the
Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 28, 2021.
Hyde a senior outfielder and pitcher from Thompson, Ga., guided the Pacers to a 2-1 week.
He picked up hits in each of the team's victories. Hyde recorded one RBI and scored twice in the series finale victory over Georgia Southwestern. For the week, Hyde posted a double and scored three times.
He was instrumental on the mound, picking up a pair of saves. In the first win over the Hurricanes, Hyde threw two scoreless innings and posted four strikeouts. Against GSW in the finale, he came in and worked 1.2 frames. Hyde registered two strikeouts.
