AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout
Chidinma Okafor has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto- Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 31, 2021.
Okafor, a 6-3 freshman from Santa Clarita, Calif., guided the Pacers to a 1-0 week.
She posted a double-double with a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with a USC Aiken Division II school-record 10 blocks. The 11 boards marks a career high for the rookie.
The 10 blocks is the most by a PBC student-athlete since the 2018-19 campaign.
Through five games, Okafor is averaging 4.6 blocks per contest.
