AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball standout Xzavier Barmore has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 10, 2019.

Barmore, a junior from Seneca, S.C., guided the Pacers to a 2-1 record and a spot in the PBC Championship game.

While guiding USC Aiken to a No. 3 seed in the upcoming NCAA Southeast Region Tournament, Barmore established a pair of PBC Tournament records. He broke the previous single-game tournament record by distributing a career-high and school-record 17 assists in the PBC Quarterfinal win over Lander. With his 31 assists in three games, Barmore established a PBC Tournament record.

Barmore had 17 points and 17 assists, along with seven rebounds, in the win over the Bearcats. In the win over No. 3 Francis Marion, he added 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. In the PBC Championship, Barmore totaled 21 points, eight assists and four rebounds.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
