AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Leonardo Bono has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 26, 2023.

Bono, a native of Rivera, Switzerland, recorded his second top-five finish of the season.

At the Bobcat Invitational, Bono led USC Aiken by shooting one-under par, 139, for the 36-hole event.

After opening the shortened tournament with an even-par, 70, on Monday, Bono fired a one-under par, 69, for the second round of action, earning him a fifth-place finish.

It was Bono's second-best finish of the season having recorded a second-place effort at the Wexford Intercollegiate in February.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
