AIKEN, S.C. – The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USCA Student-Athlete of the Week is baseball standout
Salvatore Laimo.
A native of Philadelphia, Pa., he guided the Pacers to a 4-0 week.
In the win at Coker, Laimo went two-for-four with one RBI. In the series-opening victory over Augusta, he was two-for-three at the plate with two walks. Laimo drove in one and scored once.
In Friday's victory over the Jaguars, he was two-for-two with one RBI. Laimo also scored twice. The senior finished the week with his fourth straight multi-hit game, going two-for-five with three RBI and one run scored.
In the field, Laimo had 19 chances. He accounted for 10 putouts and nine assists without making an error. Laimo also helped turn a pair of double plays.
