March 19, 2013 marked a huge night in USC Aiken history. The Pacers hosted Barton in a match-up between the final two teams in the NCAA Southeast Region. The winner of the game advanced to the Elite Eight.

Ronald Zimmerman led the way with a game-high 24 points on eight-of-11 shooting from the floor. This included a phenomenal eight-of-10 from downtown. Zimmerman dished out three assists and shared team-high accolades with three steals (along with Re'mon Nelson).

In all, four Pacers netted double figures. Santoine Butler added 16 while Nelson and Paul Larsen chipped in 13 and 10, respectively.

The lead changed hands three times in the game, but USC Aiken held an 11-point advantage with just 2:23 left on the clock in the second half.

The Bulldogs pulled within three points with 40 ticks remaining, but Zimmerman connected from behind the three-point stripe, sealing the victory for USC Aiken.

It marked the team's first Elite Eight appearance as the Pacers concluded the year in the Elite Eight with an 84-75 loss to No. 7 Drury.
