AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout Emily Trushel has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 20, 2022.

Trushel, a native of Brentwood, Tenn., guided the Pacers to a 2-0 week.

She averaged 20.5 points per game and six rebounds a contest. Trushel hit 16-of-29 shots from the floor, nailed three shots from downtown and canned all six of her free throws.

In the win over Emmanuel, Trushel scored 12 points and grabbed a season-high seven rebounds.

In the victory over Winston-Salem State, she poured in a career-high 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field. Trushel also pulled down five rebounds and had a pair of assists in the five-point win.  

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
