AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken softball standout Mallory Shaver has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 20, 2022.

Shaver, a freshman from Mint Hill, N.C., helped the Pacers to a 2-2 week.

She started all four games and hit an astounding .769. Shaver posted 10 hits in 13 at bats. She registered four homers and drove in six runs. For the week, Shaver had a .786 on-base percentage and carried a 1.692 slugging percentage.

In the nightcap win over Southern Wesleyan, she had three hits, garnered two homers and drove in four runs.

Against No. 23 Anderson, she was four-for-four and hit the game-tying solo homerun with two outs in the seventh inning. In the nightcap against the Trojans, Shaver tallied three hits and launched a solo round-tripper.
