AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout Chidinma Okafor has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 9, 2022.

Okafor is a 6-3 center from Santa Clarita, Calif.

She averaged 22 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game for the week.

Against No. 3 Lander, Okafor had 13 points, 14 rebounds, six blocks, an assist and a steal. At Flagler, she posted a career-high 31 points to go along with nine boards and a block.

The 31 points is the fifth most in USC Aiken Division II history while the 14 made field goals ties a school Division II record (since 2000).
