AIKEN, S.C. – USCA had many thrilling moments throughout the action-packed 2025-26 season. On the diamond, on the court, on the course, on the pitch and on the links, PacerSports.com will highlight an unforgettable moment from each team.
The 2026 softball team had a pair of no-hitters and a walk-off win to on the final day of the regular season. However, during a sweep of region foe Lenoir-Rhyne on Feb. 14, the Pacers put together a tremendous all-around game in the nightcap.
After picking up a 3-0 win over the Bears in the opener, USCA's bats came to life in the third inning of game two. Trailing 2-0, the Pacers rattled off six runs in the third and two in the fourth. Leading 8-2 in the fifth, the visitors plated three runs, but USCA accounted for two runs in the sixth inning of the 10-5 win.
During the game, the Pacers rattled off four home runs, including two from
Autumn Fisher, one from
Kaylee Bolding and one from
Kate Newberry.
Down 2-0 in the third, Fisher launched a three-run shot that plated
Peri Rouillard and
Lydia Johnson. Bolding's round-tripper pushed across
Taylor Erb for a 5-0 advantage.
Mollie Rollings closed out the inning with a base hit that scored
Chloe Webb.
One inning later, Newberry blasted a two-run shot that allowed Johnson to trot home for an 8-2 advantage.
After L-R closed the gap to 8-5, Fisher put the game out of reach with a two-run round-tripper in he sixth, knocking in Rouillard for the 10-5 final.
For the game, seven student-athletes posted hits while
Ally Fleming worked 6.1 innings of relief for the win. She accounted for six strikeouts and did not give up a walk in the victory.
