AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout David Strother has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 30, 2022.

Strother, a 6-2 guard from Lumberton, N.C., led the Pacers to a 1-1 week.

After scoring nine points at Augusta, he posted a career-high 29 points in the win over North Georgia.

Strother hit nine-of-13 from the floor and made 10-of-12 from the foul line, including several down the stretch to secure the win. Strother also pulled down seven rebounds, which is just one off his season high.

For the week, he averaged 19 points and 4.5 rebounds.
