AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout
Kwajelin Farrar has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for January.
Farrar, a redshirt-junior from Grovetown, Ga., led USC Aiken to a 6-3 record during the month.
She averaged 16.2 points and 12 rebounds a game while hitting over 55 percent of her shots from the floor.
Farrar accounted for six double-double efforts in the month. She posted a month-high 24 points in the win over Georgia College. Farrar snagged a month-high 15 rebounds at Lander.
For the month, she hit 64-of-116 shots from the floor.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2019-20 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
