AIKEN, S.C. – USCA had many thrilling moments throughout the action-packed 2025-26 season. On the diamond, on the court, on the course, on the pitch and on the links, PacerSports.com will highlight an unforgettable moment from each team.
Head coach
Brittany Batts' team played hard all season and one of the most rewarding victories of the season occurred on Feb. 25. While playing on the road in front of a frenzied crowd, USCA fought back from a second-period 12-point deficit and a third-quarter 11-point deficit and posted a tremendous 57-55 victory at Georgia Southwestern.
Trailing 25-13 with 4:20 to play in the second quarter, the Pacers sliced the margin to seven, 31-24, just before halftime on a three-ball by PBC Freshman of the Year
Mackenna Nix.
USCA continued to slice into the deficit in the third frame and took a 49-48 lead on a three-point play by
Zenia Palaska. Down by two, Palaska took a pass from
Morgan McDermott and knotted the score with 2:48 remaining.
The back-and-forth affair saw Palaska net the next four points for Batts' squad, including the go-ahead basket at 55-53 with 49 ticks on the clock. A pair of late free throws pushed the margin to 57-53 and the Pacers secured the hard-fought 57-55 win.
