AUGUSTA, Ga. – The USCA women's basketball team has been selected 11
th in the PBC Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was announced Tuesday.
Head coach
Brittany Batts' team garnered 22 points in the ranking. The squad returns a strong core from last year's squad, including
Nika Kurdija,
Morgan McDermott,
Riley Miller, PBC Freshman of the Year
Mackenna Nix,
Zenia Palaska,
Ioanna Stefanaki and
Imogen Veal.
The squad added junior transfer
Daniella Velez as well as freshmen
Abby Ramel,
Maeve Savage,
Riley Ward and
India Williams.
Augusta was picked first in the league while North Georgia and Columbus State rounded out the top three teams. USC Beaufort, Middle Georgia, GCSU, Clayton State, Flagler, Georgia Southwestern and Lander concluded the top-10 teams.
The Pacers open the season Wednesday, Nov. 11, when they host Claflin at 5:30 p.m. Live stats and video will be available at PacerSports.com.
