AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball standout Christine Carroll has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for October.
Carroll, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, guided the Pacers to a 9-2 record during the month.
The middle blocker accounted for 3.38 kills per frame while hitting .280. She slammed home 132 kills for the month.
Carroll added a team-best 37 blocks, including 15 solo blocks. She chipped in 19 digs, four assists and a pair of aces as well.
Carroll posted double-digit kill performances six times, including at least 20 kills on a pair of occasions. Carroll registered a then-career-high 21 kills in the win over UNC Pembroke before notching a career-best 25 at Lander.
She tied her career high with seven blocks in the win over Lincoln Memorial and had at least five blocks four times.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2019-20 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
