AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Dan Sheehan has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 23, 2020.

Sheehan, a native of Bristol, England, had a solid performance in the first competition of the spring season for USC Aiken.

At the Newberry Invitational, Sheehan played well, garnering a top-10 finish. He opened the tournament by shooting even-par, 72. Sheehan posted a two-over par, 74, on the second round of action.

The tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to weather, but his two-over par, 146, allowed him to tie for 10^th place.

It marked his first top-10 effort of the 2019-20 season.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
