AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken volleyball standout Christine Carroll has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 22, 2019.
Carroll, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, guided the team to a 4-0 weekend at the Pacer Invitational.
The all-tournament team selection slammed home 41 kills on the week while hitting .351. She posted 12 digs and eight blocks as well.
In the victory over Erskine, Carroll hit .563 and totaled nine kills on just 16 swings without an error. Against perennial power West Florida, she hammered home 10 kills against one error while putting up six blocks, helping the Pacer pick up their first-ever win over the Argonauts.
Carroll tallied nine kills and a block in just over two sets of action against Converse and finished the weekend with 13 kills in the sweep of Valdosta State.
She currently leads the PBC in points per set and hitting percentage. Carroll is second in kills and kills per set.
