AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout Mitchell Price has been named the Willie Jewell’s USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 7, 2017.

Price, a senior from Columbia, S.C., guided the Pacers to a 2-0 week with his strong bat.

In Friday night’s win over Wingate, Price blasted a bases-clearing triple to break open the game.

On Senior Day, he went three-for-four with a pair of doubles. Price drove in four runs and scored once. In the game, he swiped a pair of bases.

Price accounted for season highs in the win over the Indians for hits, doubles and stolen bases.

For the week, he batted .500, drove in seven runs and scored three times. Price tallied four hits, including two doubles and a triple.
