AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout August Lindvall has been named the USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2016-17 athletic year ending Oct. 9, 2016.

Lindvall garnered a fourth-place finish at the Firestone Invitational, which wrapped up last Tuesday afternoon.

A sophomore from Bastad, Sweden, notched back-to-back rounds of three-under par, 69, before completing the tournament with an even-par, 72. Lindvall tallied a six-under par, 209, for the tournament.

He was a mere stroke out of second place in the 86-player field.

Lindvall and the rest of the Pacers return to action Oct. 22-23 at the Camden Collegiate. 

The USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
