AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken softball standout
Lyndie Dorgan has been named the Willie Jewell's USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 19, 2017.
Dorgan, a junior right-handed pitcher/infielder from Gilbert, S.C., tossed two complete games, helping the Pacers to a 4-0 week.
In the first game against Flagler, she tossed all 10 innings, striking out three batters while walking just one in the 3-2 come-from-behind victory.
Against Montevallo, Dorgan recorded the longest outing of her career. She guided USC Aiken to a 12-inning, 3-2 win.
She struck out three batters and scattered 12 hits and walked just two in the dominating performance. Dorgan threw a career-high 166 pitches in the outing.
