AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout
Zach Moon has been named the Willie Jewell's USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 12, 2017.
Moon, a senior from Snellville, Ga., guided the Pacers to a 4-0 week.
In the road win at Wingate, Moon pounded out two hits, including a solo round-tripper.
He had a stellar weekend against Shepherd. In the opening game of the series, Moon pounded out two hits, including a double and a homer, while driving in four. During the second game of the series, Moon drove in a pair of runs.
In the series finale against the Rams, he smashed two homers, driving in four, while scoring three times.
For the week, Moon hit .429 and held a 1.357 slugging percentage. He had four homers, 11 RBI, scored six times and was walked six times.
