AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken women’s tennis standout Olivera Veskovac has been named the Willie Jewell’s USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 26, 2017.

Veskovac, a junior from Belgrade, Serbia, guided the Pacers to a 2-0 week.

She picked up two huge wins in the sweep of Benedict. In doubles action, Veskovac was part of the No. 1 tandem that posted an 8-3 win. In singles action, she notched a thrilling three-set victory.

Against Clayton State, she accounted for a 6-0, 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot, helping the team pick up its second league victory of the season while pushing the team’s record to 7-6. 

The Willie Jewell's USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
