AIKEN, S.C. – University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball standout Henry Bolton III has been named the Willie Jewell's USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 29, 2017.

Bolton III, a native of Avon Park, Fla., guided the team to a 1-1 week.

Against Lander, Bolton III poured in a career-high 29 points, canning 11-of-17 from the floor (64.7 percent), including six-of-eight from downtown (75.0 percent). He also pulled down three rebounds in 27 minutes of work.

In the road win at Flagler, Bolton III stayed hot, burying five-of-nine from the floor (55.6 percent), including three-of-six from behind the three-point stripe (50 percent). He pulled down four rebounds in the two-point road win.

For the week, Bolton III connected on 16-of-26 attempts from the floor, including nine-of-14 from downtown.

The Willie Jewell’s USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
