AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout Emily Trushel has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 29, 2023.

Trushel, a native of Brentwood, Tenn., guided the Pacers to a 2-0 week.

In the win over Augusta, she poured in 14 points and snagged 12 rebounds for a double-double effort. At No. 19 North Georgia, Trushel erupted for 23 points while pulling down eight boards. She also registered four assists and four steals in the game.

She averaged 18.5 points and 10 rebounds a night. Trushel hit 12-of-20 from the floor, including a perfect five-of-five from downtown. At the charity stripe, Trushel buried eight-of-nine attempts. She also registered a team-high five steals, dished out six assists and had a block on the week.
