AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women’s basketball standout Kwajelin Farrar has been named the USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 11, 2016.

Farrar, a native of Grovetown, Ga., is a 6-1 freshman forward. She had an outstanding game in the Pacers’ victory at Division I Winthrop.

In USC Aiken’s lone game of the week, Farrar helped guide the team to the six-point win over the Big South Conference team.

Farrar tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Her 12 markers tied a career high, which she has hit the last four outings. The 10 boards also marked a career high for the rookie.

Farrar was four-of-seven from the floor and made all four charity tosses. She snagged five offensive and five defensive boards. For good measure, Farrar dished out an assist.

The USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
