AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball standout Emily
Trushel has been named the
Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 15, 2023.
Trushel, a native of Brentwood, Tenn., guided the Pacers to a 1-1 week.
In the win over Georgia College & State, she tallied 15 points on five-of-10 shooting.
Trushel recorded six assists to go along with five rebounds.
In the three-point loss to No. 10 Georgia Southwestern,
Trushel poured in a game-high 23 points on eight-of-13 shooting. She added six rebounds, a block and an assist.
For the week, she averaged 19 points, 3.5 assists and 5.5 boards a night.
Trushel connected on 13-of-23 shooting from the floor, including a sizzling seven-of-10 from downtown.
