Spirit Squad | June 07, 2024
AIKEN, S.C. - The University of South Carolina Aiken had many thrilling moments throughout the action-packed 2023-2024 season. Whether it was on the diamond, on the court, on the course, on the links or on the pitch, PacerSports.com is going to relive some of those unforgettable highlights that defines the Pacers' spirit a sport at a time.
The 2023-24 Spirit Squad marked the fourth year of the combined programs. The Spirit Squad started prior to the 2020-21 season and three freshmen made the squad – with only one remaining until this season –
Christian Reagin.
The third year of the program saw the addition of
Mallory Gerkin – a sophomore at USC Aiken. Gerkin managed to earn enough credits to graduate early, making the 2023-24 season her senior campaign as well.
Throughout the season, the talented team put forth solid routines. They were on the sidelines for volleyball matches as well as men's and women's basketball games. The team also took part in community service events – both as a team and individually.
Although the squad had many impressive performances during the season, the highlight occurred at a team function when the two seniors honored individual teammates and coaches. With the entire team there, it proved to be a valuable moment to showcase how far the program has come in four years.
