AIKEN, S.C. - The University of South Carolina Aiken had many thrilling moments throughout the action-packed 2023-2024 season. Whether it was on the diamond, on the court, on the course, on the links or on the pitch, PacerSports.com is going to relive some of those unforgettable highlights that defines the Pacers' spirit a sport at a time.

While ranked among the top five and in the top 10 for most of the year, head coach Michael Carlisle's team turned in several impressive performances throughout the season yet two individual accomplishments rose to the top of the feats.

Coming off a sixth-place finish that wrapped up the fall portion of the slate at the Furman Intercollegiate, USC Aiken was poised to make a statement in its first tournament of the spring semester – and the Pacers did just that. The squad led the field after the first day and finished second among 18 teams. The Pacers were the lone Division II team in the talented field.

At the tournament, Oscar Abrahamsson turned in the best performance of his career, claiming a share of the individual title. After opening the tournament at even-par, 72, Abrahamsson shot two-under par, 70, during the second round of action. Two other student-athletes – Connor MacMillan (Georgia State) and Mason Tucker (Winthrop) tied Abrahamsson on the final 18 holes as all shot even-par, 216, for the 54-hole event on the 6,884-yard course. All three shared the honor of co-champion.

Two tournaments later, the Pacers were in the hunt again at the 27th Annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate. Carlisle's team tied for the lead after the first two rounds of action as Rory McDonald O'Brien was tied for second after shooting three-under par, 137. Over the final 18 holes of play, McDonald O'Brien was steady down the stretch and held off Virginia Tech's Daniel Azallion and Davidson's Joshua Stewart for the individual crown. McDonald O'Brien finished at three-under par, 207, while Azallion and Stewart tied at two-under par, 208, for second place.
