AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken women's soccer standout
Mackenzie Cochrane has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for October.
Cochrane, a native of Surfside Beach, S.C., led the Pacers to a 4-1-1 month with her in the lineup.
She helped USC Aiken record four shutouts during the month of October, helping the team tie a school record for shutouts in a season with eight.
In the win over Georgia Southwestern, Cochrane picked up her first career assist. She was instrumental in the shutout at North Georgia, helping the program pick up its first point against the Nighthawks since 2007.
For her effort on the season, Cochrane garnered second-team all-conference honors.
