Grace Crawford is the epitome of someone overcoming adversity.
The junior from Toledo, Ohio saw time in 19 contests as a freshman, earning 10 starts. That season, she accounted for 8.4 points a game, including a career-high 20 points against Clayton State.
Crawford broke her hand during her freshman campaign but managed to continue playing through the pain.
During the summer prior to her sophomore campaign, she suffered an injury to her knee in what was described as a "fluke." The knee she injured was the same one Crawford had an ACL tear in during her high school career.
Despite the pain during her sophomore season, she continued to gut it out and played 10 games.
PacerSports.com recently discussed her journey on the court while managing her way through nursing school.
