Box Score HICKORY, N.C.--USC Aiken (1-1) used a balanced attack led by sophomore middle hitter Mandy Gerolstein's nine kills and .450 hitting percentage to blank North Carolina Central (3-3) 3-0 in non-conference volleyball action on Friday afternoon. The match was part of the opening day of the 2005 Lenoir Rhyne/Moretz Sports Invitational. Game scores were 30-23, 30-19, and 30-23. 

The Lady Pacers improve to 4-0 all-time versus the Lady Eagles. 

Gerolstein recorded nine kills and no errors in 20 attacks to go with three blocks, six digs, and one ace for 13.0 total points. Junior Laura Williams added eight kills and three blocks while sophomore Amanda Timm chipped in seven kills and two blocks hitting .333. As a team, USCA hit .232 and tallied 8.0 team blocks. 

Setters Rachel Dalitz and Cheryl Barcas combined for 38 assists, 12 digs, and two service aces. Sophomore Veronica Seidle registered a game-high 21 digs. 

USC Aiken will take on Slippery Rock tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM and then conclude play with a 1:00 PM showdown with Pfeiffer.
