AUGUSTA, Ga. – USCA volleyball standout
Anna Sommer has been named to the all-PBC team, as announced by the league office.
Sommer, a native of Saint Louis, Mo., garnered first-team accolades.
She leads the PBC in hitting percentage with a .363 mark. Her 1.17 blocks per frame also top the PBC standings. Sommer is sixth in the PBC with 2.69 kills per frame and is fifth in points per set (3.44).
The middle blocker posted a season-high 18 kills in the win over Coker while notching a season-high 20 points against the Cobras. Sommer had 10 total blocks against Montevallo – all of which were assisted.
She's had five matches with at least five total blocks on the year. Sommer has posted 15 matches with at least 10 kills and has 12 matches where she's hit at least .400.
After a win over UNC Pembroke and a pair of dynamic performances in the sweep of Middle Georgia State, Sommer garnered PBC Player of the Week accolades.
