Dr. William S. Carr was one of the pioneers that helped start basketball at USC Aiken. As a volunteer coach, he contributed his time and resources to make USC Aiken basketball a success from 1961-68.
Under his guidance, the Pacers won league championships in 1962 and 1963 while finishing runner-up the following season. Dr. Carr’s 1965-66 team went undefeated during the regular season.
