Dane Burkhart was a member of the golf team from 2002-06. He helped USC Aiken to three straight NCAA National Championships from 2004-06 and three straight NCAA Southeast Region titles. As a junior, Burkhart was named the Division II National Player of the Year. A three-time All-American, he won six tournaments in his outstanding career. Burkhart concluded his career third all-time in career scoring. He established a school-record 71.74 stroke average during the 2004-05 season. In 2005, he was the individual medalist at the National Championship. Burkhart guided USC Aiken to PBC Championships in 2005 and 2006, leading USC Aiken to a No. 1 national ranking for 125 straight weeks. Burkhart was an Academic All-American. Â
