AIKEN, S.C. – USCA baseball standout
Josh Sharp has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery Student-Athlete of the Month for May.
A native of Lawrenceville, Ga., Sharp had a stellar week at the PBC Tournament.
In the opening game against Lander, Sharp got on base twice, including once with his 20
th career triple, tying the PBC record. He had a steal and scored twice.
In the win over Flagler, Sharp posted three hits, drove in two and scored twice. Sharp went two-for-two on the base paths.
In the game against Georgia College, Sharp went four-for-five with two RBI, a steal and two runs scored.
For the week, he went eight-for-14 with four RBI, four steals, a triple and six runs.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USCA Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2024-25 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
