AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men’s basketball standout Latreavin Black has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for January.
Black, a 6-5 junior from Shreveport, La., guided the Pacers to a 5-2 month.
He nearly averaged a double-double for the seven games. Black netted 11.1 points per game and snagged a team-high 9.7 rebounds per contest. He shot a team-high 51.6 percent from the floor, hitting 33-of-64.
Black was second on the team with 16 assists, second with four blocks and total points with 78. His 11 steals were fourth-best on the team.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2020-21 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
