University of South Carolina Aiken baseball standout Conner Durden has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Student-Athlete of the Month for February.

Durden is a junior from Jacksonville, Fla. He guided the Pacers to a 10-4 month.

Durden reached base safely in all 14 contests this season. He has hit safely in 12 games while reaching on walks in the other two contests. Durden’s nine-game hitting streak from the start of the season is the best on the team.

His .373 batting average leads the everyday players on the squad. Durden also leads the team in doubles, home runs, RBI, total bases, slugging percentage and is tied for the team lead in walks.

He leads the PBC with seven homers and 45 total bases. Durden is third in the league with five doubles and 20 RBI and is fifth with 12 walks.

He has eight multi-RBI games and has five multi-hit contests, including two contests with three hits apiece.

The South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2017-18 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
