An opportunity can present itself when one least expects it.
That could easily describe seniorÂ
Alli Bell's journey to the cross country team. Now in her final semester of college, Bell enters her first-ever season with an entirely new sport.
Having transferred to USC Aiken after her sophomore year, Bell guided the Pacers to a 48-11 record in 2018-19. That record helped the team to a pair of PBC regular-season titles and two NCAA Tournament bids, including a run to the Sweet 16.Â
After her senior season was over, Bell began kicking around the idea of running cross country for head coachÂ
Lauren Etheridge. A hard-nosed student-athlete that never quits, Bell's determination would be welcomed to a squad that has a lot of potential.
During the months leading up to the season, Bell worked on her endurance, form and pace while putting in many miles of training.
PacerSports.com recently sat down withÂ
Alli Bell to discuss not only her journey from being an all-conference volleyball setter to a first-year runner, but how she took the road less traveled to become the person she is today.
