People always see cheerleaders at sporting events, competitions or other functions associated with USC Aiken. However, there is a completely different side to each and every cheerleader. Some may be quiet or shy, but junior Michaela Howard is fully involved with other activities that keep her quite busy – and in front of other people.

Howard, a native of Augusta, Ga., recently talked with Maddie Campanella about different aspects of her life.

A junior at USC Aiken, Howard meets with other people from schools in the USC system at Carolina Day. As hectic as her schedule is, she finds time to be a math tutor on campus.

Howard, who is thinking of going into IT or into software development upon graduation, still has plenty of time to figure out what she wants to do. Currently, she stays busy with different activities but fans can always see her on the sidelines during basketball season.
