AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball standout Gus Rowland has been named the Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 15, 2019.

Rowland, a junior from Richmond, Va., guided the Pacers to a 1-0 week.

In 36 minutes of action, Rowland posted a team-high 20 points on seven-of-13 shooting from the floor. Four of his seven made buckets were from downtown.

Rowland dished out four assists and led the team with a pair of thefts. For good measure, Rowland snagged a pair of rebounds.

The Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week honors one student-athlete each week from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.
