AIKEN, S.C. – USCA baseball standout
Josh Sharp has been named the South Carolina Education Lottery Student-Athlete of the Month for March.
Sharp, a senior from Lawrenceville, Ga., posted a .436 batting average for the Pacers.
He tallied 31 hits in 71 at bats, drove in 13 runs and scored 29 times during the month. Eighteen of his 31 hits went for extra bases, including nine doubles, five triples and four home runs.
Sharp was walked 13 times and swiped 11 bases without being caught.
During the month, he had 11 multi-hit games, including two four-hit performances. Additionally, he scored at least two runs nine times, including two contests in which he scored four times.
The South Carolina Education Lottery USCA Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Month award honors one student-athlete each month from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort. Each month during the 2024-25 athletic year one winner will be chosen from an in-season sport.
